Wow that is a bunch of sneaky bullshit those oil companies are doing. Thanks for the insight on how big oil is not doing us any favors to help make this earth any cleaner and prevent powerful, light, sleek, looking batteries for a truly sweet looking ebike.

My bicycle handles fine at 40+ mph

  3. gtarbmx says:

you’d save money on batteries if you bought the entire dewalt drill package. seriously. i’m a contractor and whenever a battery goes to shit i just get the whole drill with batteries. it’s cheaper

Having a car around is OK. A bike like this just means you won’t have to drive it as much. Also google “More plug-in hybrid bike video” to see this bike pulling a trailer.

All the years I rode bikes and then when I got older I rode motorcycles. Now I am back to bikes and NO ONE has seen the need to fix the greatest problem!! That is, where do you carry stuff? A bike is fine to get YOU around but where do you put 2 gals milk a loaf of bread, you know stuff. Backpack?? So you still need a car or a friend with a car!

Batteries are the most expensive part of the ebike. Big oil has dominated for so long battery technology has been neglected. plus bp and exxon own a lot of advanced battery patents.. I wonder why that is?? lol

  7. biodiversivist says:

That’s about right. I’ve been using the same ones since June 2005. Still going strong. They paid for themselves a long time ago.

  8. GEARHEADGUY92 says:

what does each one fo those batteries cost you like 170 dollars?

  9. Alexamovich11 says:

That’s not ultimate. If ur gona go electric u should go with the cruiser design.

  10. biodiversivist says:

Google “More plug-in hybrid bike video” or “Bike to work week” with biodiversivist on the end.

    Nice !!!!!!!

except for the ease of convertion, i never was a fan of hub motors. I remember I have a brush motor which I took off the car airconditioner blower fan. I wonder if this s powerful enough to use. I had the car for nine years and replaced the blower fan coz I thought it was broken. I just took it out, cleaned it, and lubricate it with grease, and resurfaced the bronze contact points of the carbon brush. It now works as good as new.

  14. alienpatentoffice says:

Does this guy still has the motor? Would he consider selling it as junk to me? I do not know if I would be able to restore it but I like to find out. I like tinkering with stuff that is hard to solve.

  15. alienpatentoffice says:

necesity is the mother of invention, good luck.

  16. biodiversivist says:

I’ve heard that these rare earth magnets are strong enough to break a finger. Good luck.

  17. jsnsykes says:

I had a Hall sensor failure, so I had to take it apart. The hall sensor had failed due to the Corrosion/water in my motor (I live in Florida and have to ride in the wet or not get there, I am sure you understand considering your geographic location). Anyway getting it apart is the problem, getting it back together is well handled by magnetic force, as witnessed by the chunk of flesh it took out of my finger as it handled the assembly of the core to magnet ring. Mental note.. Magnets bite.

i saw that somewhere as well…50cc…30 mph…and i forget what volt/amp limit or w/e…idk…maybe we would just have to try and fly under the radar or somethin…that makes me kind of hesitant to, talking about water getting into it etc…maybe the non-hub motors would fare a little better in rain etc?

  19. biodiversivist says:

Know one guy who took motor apart and never was able to get it back together again. Consider drying it out some other way?

  20. jsnsykes says:

Just riding it to work.. in the rain. I never wash it or submerge it of course. I am still having a problem with disassembling the motor any suggestions?

  21. alienpatentoffice says:

According to a website, There’s a federal law that limits the speed of electric bicycle to 20 mph in the USA. Fortunately, according to a friend who sells scooters & motorcycles, the limit is 30 mph where I live.

i like your ride a lot better than the goverment motors(GM)chevy volt.who wants to pay 40 grand for something that makes a pinto look like a caddy?your ride is so cool.

the world needs more people like you and less people that throw sticks at people like you.

have you seen the lincvolt neil young is working on?its on youtube check it out.

many thanks to you and people like you for trying to make the world a better cleaner place.

  23. biodiversivist says:

How did you get it full of water?

  24. jsnsykes says:

I have noticed that efforts to keep water out are normally realized to be ways to keep water IN. I am currently draining my Crystalyte 408 of it’s water, hoping to be able to dry it out and get it back to it’s old self.

like for example, look at this…
