Hello, Thank you for taking a look at the bike in action. I am very pleased that people are taking an interest in the bike. I have to say it has taken me quite by surprise. Firstly I must stress that this is only a prototype, a design which I made in a very short space of time for a show. As a result I built the prototype to demonstrate the concept and not as a finished production piece. I could only make about 40 percent of the components that I have currently designed for this bike. I …

GREAT EVERYTHING! The only thing that upsets me is that I’m predicting it will cost a lot of money and therefore I won’t be able to buy one.
It is a pity that nowadays the Bauhaus ideal, were designers sought to find a way to produce functional and affordable design, available to the masses, seems to be lost.
    Bling bling!

I’m fairly certain this doesn’t allow you to pedal… so the answer to your question is none. The lack of chain is what allows it to fold so smoothly.

sweet. you should have it patented. btw, how many gears?

  4. kkpauly says:

This is so inventive and practical. I love your design.

I’m 5 seconds in and I just want to know how I can order my own.

Where’s the other pedal? It got lost during unfolding of the bike

in side the body between the pedals and the wheel?

Is this a prototype?Coz I haven’t seen this guy pedal..Where is the chain? It could work on the principal of hydraulics, but only can imagine one speed, otherwise the bike would be too heavy..The conept is fantastic, folding mechanism is very intriguing..But I can’t see the way it could work…

    WHERES THE CHAIN

  10. zanzaman says:

Very tricky folding system. Nice idea, really

“Hydraulics (on this prototype, others have chains and belts).
I completely agree that hydraulic drive is not going to wipe traditional chains off the face of the earth. I am sorry but just couldn’t resist, as this is just a forward looking concept bike .”

THERE IS NO CHAIN!!!…. no way it can work…..

this man wants to show that is really easy to fold. But if you look at 0:48 (that stuff jumping on th bike) you realise that there are footage tricks

  14. adwun says:

also .. this bike would be t3h awesomez with a belt drive… easy to fold a belt, right? well .. there ARE a LOT of idiots in the world, so we’ll see.. but thankfully idiots won’t buy something like this. BELT DRIVE THIS BAMF!!!!

Exactly what I was getting at… & good point about the aircraft landing gear!

  16. adwun says:

Look at old footage of cedric gracia racing 4x …. he PUNISHES lefty forks and they stand up to it! many aircraft also use a similar design.

  17. adwun says:

THIS THING IS SICK WITH IT!!! Lefty fork? wow!!! nice design!

  18. dowhatevertogetmeby says:

    I would buy this, absolutely!

  19. diciluma says:

but do not see the chain of transmission

  20. AdleyJulian says:

    You use the pedals…

  21. cyclonejack13 says:

that would be good to use except for the extreme biker..i think it might fold on them while trying to do a trick…but that would be a good invention for travling…(not far)

  22. TrilliumRiver says:

    Brilliant!

  23. cyberg81 says:

Bicycle manufacturers, pick up this concept and sell it.
One of the biggest problems with a bike is when you have it somewhere remote and need to pedal it back despite the weather being horrible or a bunch of other hindrances. Previously the only way to do this would have been getting a car with a bike rack and then taking it back that way. (You can’t take bikes on buses in Sweden unless you pay a lot extra). This would be really awesome for excursions where you know you won’t be pedaling back.

  24. gugulplex says:

Hey, if this thing gets a safety ok, I would ride it!

  25. diciluma says:

and how are you pedal ???
